Shipwreck Heroes
Your adventure begins at The Keeper's Kitchen Inn where you'll receive a backpack containing everything you need for the day (including your particular cues/prompts and props that will help tell the story).
After departing, you'll hike to see the remnants of The Crewe – a ship that wrecked in 1901. The terrain is light and you'll reach the site in approximately 20-25 minutes.
The story will then begin to unfold with your help. This is the fun, interactive and engaging part of the program.
Continuing on to Square Rock (an additional 15 min light walk), an outdoor lunch will be served.
Afterwards the group will visit Cape Pine Lighthouse (approximately 20 mins drive) where you will learn about advances in navigational tools as well as the significance of Cape Pine to the Myrick family.
Upon returning back to The Keeper's Kitchen Inn, you'll enjoy a signature cocktail/mocktail and live music by a local recording artist.
Accommodation is not required, but recommended. You can also reserve a gourmet-style dinner at 6:30pm for an extra fee. Dinner capacity is 15 people maximum. Both rooms and dinners must be booked in advance. Call 709-730-1708 or email info@thekeeperskitchen
